Malloy, Henry William, 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 17th, 2021 at his home in Bedford, NS. Henry was born on March 21st, 1929 to William Henry and Bernice Ethel (McDonald) "Gang Gang" Malloy and was raised on the family farm in South Lochaber, NS. As a young man he moved to Halifax where he became a loyal employee of the T. Eaton Company for 40 years. In 1954 he married his loving wife of over 66 years, Doris May Watters. "Hemp" and Doris raised their four boys in Fairview with regular visits to South Lochaber and vacations to warm places. Henry enjoyed operating his MF35 tractor on his hobby farmland and he loved vintage automobiles from his youth. When it was time to teach his boys to drive Henry purchased a VW dune buggy which was fun for everyone. Henry taught values to his sons by demonstrating them with his own personal example and his important counsel for them never ceased. Henry was involved for many decades in their church, Faith City (Faith Tabernacle), and at other churches in Halifax and made countless visits to comfort those suffering in hospitals or at home. In the 1970s he often drove the Sunday School bus and encouraged the kids around his neighbourhood to attend. Two weeks each summer were spent camping in their trailer beside the Debert River at Camp Evangeline. Henry was a country boy at heart and helping others was very important to him. He enjoyed dry humour and socializing with close friends and relatives. When he greeted you his firm handshake and blue eyes stayed with you. Henry is greatly missed and will be fondly remembered.
Henry is survived by his loving sons William (Carolyn), Victoria, BC, Lewis (Mariana), Bedford, NS, James and Michael, Bedford, NS, and his adoring grandsons of whom he was very proud, Liam and Aidan. Also his sisters Alice Mills, Chemanius BC, and Ethel Cooper, Dartmouth. He is predeceased by Doris, his inseparable love, who had passed away only four months previously.
