Howard was my uncle and well as my Godfather. I’ll always remember and miss him. He and Aunt Lilly were always very kind and giving to me while growing up in Halifax. I have fond memories of spending time with him. One particular time he took me on a day trip adventure to McNabb’s Island. We had a great time wondering and exploring all over the island and enjoyed some great conversations. Once I had the pleasure of having Uncle Howard as a substitute teacher for Industrial Arts class in junior high school, what a novelty that was. He was a superb uncle and I’m a better man for having known him. May he rest in peace.

God bless you, Uncle Howard.
I will forever cherish my childhood memories of trips that you took with our family to our cottage in Musquodoboit, sitting in front of a warm, crackling fire at your house on Stonehaven, and cozy pj’s at Christmastime ...Thank you. You will be always missed and never forgotten.

Love from Corinne Higgins-Snair, husband Philip and daughter Olivia
