Sarty, James Michael, 59, Halifax died October 18, 2015 in Halifax. Born in Halifax he was a son of Helen (Hanrahan) Sarty and the late Stan Sarty. He was a well know musician who played with many bands and musicians. Jim was a painter by trade, working with various companys , was well liked and known for his wacky sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survived by: sister Cathy, brothers: Tom and Michael, three nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by brothers: Wayne and Gerald. Visitation: 2pm – 3 pm Saturday at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street where Funeral will be held 3 pm Saturday. Burial will be 11 am Monday, Graveside Oakridge Memory Gardens. Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association.
