MERCER, Jennie Marie, 38, of Halifax died May 7, 2015 at QEII, VG Site. Born in Halifax she is the daughter of Pearl Hiles and Wayne Mercer. She was a day care teacher. Jennie is survived by son, Gordel; sister, Diana; brothers, Thomas and Johnathan; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Jean Hiles, and paternal grandparents, Gordon and Florence Mercer. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Cruikshanks Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 11 am. Burial to follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax.
