I am truly sorry to hear of Kathy's passing.   Many great memories from Brownies, CGIT, church and school.  She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who new her.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for the coming days and weeks ahead.

My Aunt Kathy was not just an incredible woman - she oozed authenticity and genuine love that made anyone in her presence felt as if they were one of her’s. 

Kathy was one of my Mom’s dearest friends and for years I could not put a face to a name; but she was well known in our house as “Aunt Kathy in Halifax who sent Lobster mittens”. She loved us as her own from the beginning. When I went to her and my mom’s alma mater, she became the unofficial guardian of my young adult life. She spoiled me with dinners and trips to the bar and kept me surrounded in love by always making an extra seat for me at the famous Thanksgiving at Joanne’s house. She would sometimes treat me to a special Maxwell’s breakfast and wanted to know everything about university. When I would tell her that she spoiled me too much, she always said, “that’s what east coast aunties are for!” 

A trip to Halifax really meant a trip to see B. Her concert trips to the Toronto still meant a quick visit but it was never really quick. I could sit and talk to Aunt Kathy for hours. What felt like a decade was really an hour or two. Her stories always made me laugh and I felt as if I was there experiencing it with her. She was the one who held my hair when I realized that I was allergic to oysters and as I kept apologizing in the bathroom of Durty Nellys;
all I kept hearing was, “that’s what east coast aunties are for”. 

Her sudden passing felt as if going back to Halifax would never be as special again. When I think about the East Coast, one of my favourite places in the world, I think about my Aunt Kathy, one of my favourite people in the world. 

I will miss her check ins, her laugh, her concert visits to Toronto, her stories and her acts of love that screamed, “that’s what east coast aunties do”.

I will miss you, B. Until we meet again.

I met Kathy through Vickie Siscoe when we we're all younger and free of life's complications. I can still hear her honest cackling laughter after an off beat joke.  Life threw her and her family many curve balls but all she wanted was to make people smile.  She was truely a giving sole.  Deepest condolences to her family and closest loved ones.

I knew Cathy on a professional level and we worked in the same office building in Halifax for years.  Cathy was always so pleasant to deal with and I was very saddened to hear of her passing through her brother Robert.  My condolences to Cathy's family.

Grant has many fond memories of Kathy’s  contributions to the students and staff of BRHS. Kathy always delivered with a smile and was able to take on any task and do it exceptionally well.

Dear Robb, Family, and Kathy's dear friends:  Kathy was not only an Executive Assistant extraordinaire, she was our resident "geek."  She knew everything there was to know about computers and kept our computer network in excellent health.  She was efficient, professional, dedicated, funny, and kind.  

She will be missed in our office so much!  We are all heart broken.

Kathy was more than a cousin to me as she much like a big sister.
 I spent several summers in Norton with Uncle Mike , Aunt Gaynel, Rob and Kathy and have great memories of my time there. 
She was one of a kind, a straight shooter and had a heart of gold. She always sent us a care package from down east every Christmas that included chicken bones, chocolate bars and my favorite, barley toys. She was such a thoughtful and kind person.
I will miss the phone calls when would catch up and reminisce. Kathy was always so bright and cheerful and was just as good of a story teller as her father. I will miss her laughter and her witty sense of humor.
While her friends and family have lost a remarkable person, Heaven has gained a truly one of a kind angel.

Rob, very sorry to hear about Kathy. She was a real blast in high school, we hung out a lot and her sense of humour was so wonderful. Nothing but great thoughts and memories of Kathy gone far too soon.

I met Kathy in 2012 through my friend Joanne. We clicked immediately - her unique sense of humour was definitely my kind of laughs (frig she was funny) She always brought the best take on things, her keen eye and super smart way of looking at things were rare traits in this world. Whether it was Tibb's Eve, New Year's Day Levee, St. Patrick's Day or just getting out on a patio in Halifax because it was sunny and we really should. Her positivity and kindness are only 2 of the thousand things I will miss immensely about her. She was factual and never judged anyone, she spoke her mind but always had people's best interests at heart.  She was a VERY rare quality of human and we are all richer for having known her. Rest in peace beautiful girl. We loved you more than you ever knew  xo

Rob. We are so sad to hear about this huge loss. Kathy was a bright light wherever she went. She was one of our “first to call” baby sitters. The kids loved her. We sadly lost touch when  Kathy moved to NS but what I’m reading tells me her upbeat and positive  attitude stayed with her for her whole life.  We are heartbroken tor you as we know she was special in your life. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. 💞.

I still have the ornament that you and Pam made us during Covid ready to hang on the Christmas tree front and center every year and now I will think of you both. I was so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing,
I ran into Kathy on the Halifax commons when out for a walk while my daughter was in the IWK...she immediately began thinking "oh, how shall I make room for you" ...I was touched by the thought but let her know I was very happy with my hotel room.  It was just another example of how small- town values never left her. We play chess together almost everyday in middle school, and almost everyday she won.  Another student complained that the rankings were unfair so I play her ( and won) and advised her to read a book on strategy before she took on Kathy.
She is the most brilliant friend I ever had.

Sending my deepest condolences to family and friends of Kathy.  I have many fond memories of Kathy during our high school years together at Belleisle Regional High School “Class of 87”.  I always remember her as being a top student and how she was very kind.

Sending our deepest sympathies for the loss of Kathy. Many a stories of a childhood were centred around the Beaman family. Mark has so many stories to tell and has shared with me over the years. Our hearts break again for you all. Life sure isn’t for the faint of heart. Just know your pain is felt by many and a shoulder is only a message away. Heaven has gained  one of the happiest  fun -loving angels they will ever see.  We watched her and Rob grow up with our kids during her visits to her grandparents in Riley Brook. Never saw her anything but happy. She found good in any situation  and made you see it too. Such a shock to hear of her passing. RIP sweet girl. We will miss you. She will be truly missed by all of us. Kathy was down-to-earth, optimistic and rarely did I see her angry or petty. Her strength and independence during the ups and downs in life are an inspiration.
