Lenita Rose MacKinnon Sparks

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Lenita. She passed on December 28th at the V.G. Hospital surrounded by family.

Lenita was a free spirited soul who loved life. She adored being called Grammy it was her greatest accomplishment in her eyes. She was a kind loving person who never judged you based on your position in life.

She was predeceased by the love of her life Kevin. By her parents Anne(Johnson) and Leonard (Sparks) and her younger sister Tanielle. She is survived by her sons Christopher of Ontario and Kyle(Zaya) of Quebec. Her siblings Tony(Chiles) Hfx Mark(Charlotte) B.C. Nadine( Grailing) Que. Bobbi-Leigh(Ron) Hfx Leaa(Jay)Ont. Her Grandchildren Justin, Nathan and Kyiera Special grandchildren Malachi Brooklyn Savannah and Anastasia, and her Aunt Juanita Melvin of Dartmouth. Lenita had 4 Special sisters who stayed in her life through the thick and thin Helen, Debbie Lorna and Kim all of Halifax, nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Lenita will be missed by all who knew and loved her and the family would like to give thanks to the staff at Arborstone and The Dr and nurses at the V.G and Halifax Infirmary...In lieu of donations pick a charity and donate in her name!!!

Service to be held at 10am on Saturday January 20th at Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Lawn Cemetery. At 1pm please come share memories at Army Navy at 2409 Maynard
