

Born February 5, 1964, in Halifax, Leslie was the beloved daughter of the late Beresford Jenkins and the late Rose (Fisher) Jenkins. She was the cherished sister of Eileen Rose Jenkins Ross and dear sister-in-law of Allen James Ross. Leslie was also a treasured niece of her beautiful Aunt Gwen Briton Jenkins of England and will be lovingly remembered by her many wonderful cousins in Halifax and England.
A proud graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School, Leslie continued her education at Mount Saint Vincent University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration. She dedicated many years of service working in Finance for the Government of Nova Scotia and later with the Federal Government, including the Department of National Defence.
Leslie truly loved life. She was social, vibrant, and beautiful inside and out. Her love of music, her warm spirit, and her constant smile brought joy to everyone who knew her. Known for her kindness and gentle heart, Leslie was the kindest person one could ever meet, always making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Leslie’s warmth, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved her.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of ICU 5.2 at the Halifax Infirmary and the Palliative Care Unit 7A at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
A special thank you is also extended to Heather Joyce, Julie Pritchard, Rose Walsh, Betty and Peter Browne, Doug and Sharon Olsen, Howard Jenkins, and the always thoughtful staff of 2BOR for their friendship, kindness, and unwavering support during Leslie’s journey.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Cruikshank’s Funeral Home. A Celebration of Leslie’s life will take place at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Road on Tuesday June 9, 2026, at 11 am, celebrated by Fr. Nathanael DesRoches, FoH. A reception to follow in the Church Hall with interment taking place after the reception at Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
