GILLEN, Margaret “Peggy” Gillen, age 83, St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Leo and Irene Gillen and her dear cousin, Marie Algee.
She is survived by numerous cousins. Peggy was a teacher for many years at Herring Cove Junior High. She previously taught at other schools throughout HRM.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.
We would like to thank all staff at St.Vincent’s Nursing Home for the care that was provided to Peggy during the past two years.
