

Perry, Mark Anthony age 73 of Hammond’s Plains passed away June 25, 2018 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Halifax, he was son of the late Mark Anthony ’Tony’ Stanley and Dorothy ’Dot’ Helen (Arsenault) Perry.
Mark was a heavy equipment instructor with NSCC and CAT.
He was a past president of Softball Nova Scotia and an Honourary Inductee in the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame for managing the Fisherman’s Market Midget Boys Fast Pitch Softball Team in 1991.
For years, he enjoyed his trailer and boat with Shirley. Mark is survived by his children Michael (Tara), East Walton, Christine, Hammond’s Plains, Kimberley (Chris), Halifax, Robert (Meghan), Cole Harbour; Graham (Kathleen), Halifax ; 17 grandchildren; brothers Paul (Rina) ,Meteghan; Ray, Harrietsfield; sisters Lois (Greg) Lower Sackville, Cathy (Dan) Prospect Bay; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Bailey.
He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Jollimore Perry.
Visitation will be 2-4, 6-8 Thursday, June 28, 2018 in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St, Halifax. Funeral Mass will be 11am Friday in Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church, 4032 Normandy Dr. Halifax. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may made to the Highland Park Minor Baseball Association.
