Forrestall, Michael John – 55 of Sydney River formally of Halifax, passed away August 22, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax. He was the son of the late Alonzo and Margaret (Muise) Forrestall. He was the regional manager of Power Vac Systems, Burnside. He enjoyed reading and loved sports; he was a coach and umpire for minor sports as well as fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by his sister Marguerite (Wayne) Selig, Kingston; brothers Edward (Pat), Dartmouth; Joseph, Sackville; Maurice (Donna), Robert (Donna), Harold and Daniel all of Halifax; sister in-law Alice, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother William and Patrick. Visitation will be held Friday August 26, from 12:30 till service time 2pm in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home 2666 Windsor St. Halifax. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
