Born in Halifax, Peggy was the daughter of the late Bert and Maragret Benoit. Along with her parents, Peggy was predeceased by brothers, Gerald (Tubby) Arthure, Donnie, Richard and sister-in-law Carolyn Benoit. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, daughter Darlene and son Doug. Brothers Ronnie (Gerry), Johnny (Joanne), sisters Linda (Cecil) Mitchell, Pearl (Albert) Murphy, sister-in-law Melanie Benoit, as well as extended family, many nieces and nephews. Peggy grew up in Whites Lake where she remained throughout her life raising and caring for her family to whom she showed endless love and support. Peggy was a mother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone who crossed her path. If you had the pleasure to know Peggy, then you were one of the lucky ones. You wouldn’t find anyone more loving or caring than Peggy and she spent her life making sure everyone was okay and without question we could always depend on her through laughter, tears and time spent together. Peggy was by our side through it all.
Peggy Enjoyed weekly bingo and Sunday card games at her mothers. What a Wild Time! Peggy enjoyed her yearly adventures traveling with John and she loved her job at Atlantic Memorial Elementary School where she worked for many years. Known to the children who adored her as Mrs. Dorey.
It’s hard to think of Peggy not being here with us, but we will forever cherish our time spent together and many memories we made. We are grateful that Peggy has many family members waiting in Heaven to join them for a Big Card Game. Good Luck Peggy (Deuces and Jacks wild and Dealers Choice). Our dear Peggy, you were a true kindhearted soul and will never be forgotten. We will miss you, your laughter, sharing a good cup of coffee and a nice chat.
Rest in peace Peggy.
