Robert James Patrick Flynn

Flynn, Robert James Patrick “Bob”, Halifax. Born in Halifax on April 15, 1935. It is with great heart felt sadness that Susan announces the passing of her Dad and best friend Bob after a brief and sudden illness on October 9, 2014 in the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Bob was the son of the late Howard and Evelyn Flynn. Bob was predeceased by the love of his life his wife Shirley, Sister Louise Boudreau, Brother Harold. Bob is survived by his only daughter and best friend Susan. Sisters, Patricia ( MacInnis),Shirley (Hunt) Brother Walter, several nieces and nephews. Bob spent most of his working career at Canadian Tire followed by purchasing at Capital District Health. Bob loved the Boston Red Sox, shopping for deals, being Irish but mostly the traveling he and Susan did in the last ten years. Bob spent ten years volunteering with meals on wheels. Bob was a most amazing gentleman, friend, husband, especially Dad. Special thanks to all nurses, doctors and staff on 7.3, good friends Neil, Bonnie, Cherie, Heather, Linda, Diana, and the Slaunwhite family for their kindness and support. Bob loved life please remember the good times he would not want you to be sad, please wear colour. Funeral Service will be held 10am Friday October 17, 2014 in St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica Halifax. Private burial at a later date.
