Robin loved to cook, camp, travel and entertain, she was kind, generous and always ready to help those in need. Robin deeply loved her family including all of her beautiful extended families, cousins, friends and her chosen nieces and nephews.
Robin had a zest for life that no one could measure, she loved all, once you entered her life you were then her life time friend.
Robin is survived by her son, Cortel Downey Jr. along with his father, Cortel Downey Sr.; her daughters, Trayah and Mireya Cyr; sisters, Tracy Whynder (Chris) and Cherise Cyr-Loppie (Justin); nephews, Christopher Jr., Marquise Whynder and Shakur Parsons; niece: Justice Parsons; aunts, Pearleen (Michael), Betty, Lydia, Joan (Carson), Kathy, Joanne (Roger); uncles, Wade, Dennis, George Jr. (Nida), Cyril (Cynthia), Ricky and Perry; God Parents, Betty and Lenard (predeceased) Gilks; God Children, Tatyana Borden, Robert Beaver Jr., Nyleah Carvery and Ziyah Verreault.
Predeceased by grandparents, George Loppie Sr. and Lena (Glouster) Loppie and Elwood Sr. and Alfaretta (Jarvis) White
The family would like to thank EMS and the Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department for their efforts when Robin was in their care.
There will be visitation from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, September 17th at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax with a celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m. with Brother Roger Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Diabetes association of Canada or to the family Go Fund me page for Robin’s children.
