

With heavy hearts we announce that Teddy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 28th 2021. Born in Georgetown Guyana October 15th 1942 to Max & Rosalie Hackett.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Heather; children Carnita (Franklin), Ruthanne, Larry (Kathy), and Lela; 8 Grandchildren Josha, Shane, Iesha, Leah, Alex, Cortez, Nigel and Lyndell; 6 Great Grandchildren; Siblings Wynette, Janet, Lynette and brother George, all of England; In-laws Coralee (Al), Charlotte, Jocelyn all of Ontario, and Dean (Margo) of Halifax; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Father Max Hackett, Mother Rosalie Hackett, Mother In-law Cora Williams and Daughter Dawn Coles.
Ted was an excellent Chef and opened the first World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax. He travelled the world as a seamen and a chef and even worked on the Oil Rigs. An Avid bowler, Ted a very loving Husband and Father who made friends everywhere he went. He loved to play jokes and tell jokes, he had a laugh that would make you laugh. Ted is a huge Sports fan, especially The Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Kindest man that would help anyone that needed it. He will be sadly missed. Special thanks to Cecil & Giselle Allan.
