WISWELL, Vera Florence, 91, Halifax, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 2, 2013, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, a daughter of the late Leonard and Harriet Tully. Vera was a housewife, a very loving mother, and was an outgoing person who had a lot of energy and joy through her smile and presence. She loved her children, took heart to animals and was an avid bingo player. Survived by daughters, Patricia, Catherine Wiswell (James Maxwell MacCulloch), and Veronica (George Harnish), all of Halifax; grandchildren, Kim Young, Angela Piper, Leroy Young, Glen Harnish, Lisa Harnish and James Alexander MacCulloch; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, James Edward Wiswell; brothers, Art, Charlie and Harold Tully; sisters, Marion, Winifred and Lillian. Visitation Monday, January 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Where funeral will be held 2:30 pm Tuesday, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any SPCA.
