Alson (Al) Baker, a Hamilton resident, died on June 19, 2012 at Golden Years Nursing Center at age 84. Mr. Baker was born on November 19, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Burt and Linda Jane Baker. On June 7, 1952, he was married to Janet Ann Wynn in St. Peter in Chains Church in Hamilton. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School; served two years of domestic service in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII; and went on to receive an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Miami University. Mr. Baker retired from Champion International Corporation in June of 1990 after 32 years of employment. He is survived by his wife Janet; daughters Sharon Lynn Hensley of Gallatin, TN and Sandra Allison (Jack) Hollenberg of Hamilton; and granddaughter Sarah Lynn Hollenberg of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Baker, a sister Delores Quinn, a sister Delma Harmon, his mother Linda Baker, and his father Burt Baker.
