

Barbara D. “Bonnie” Giliberto, age 73 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on August 3, 1940 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of the late Henry H. and Dorothy (Sullivan) Holland. Bonnie married her husband of over 46 years, Dick Giliberto, on August 12, 1967 in Galesburg, IL.
Bonnie earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO and her Masters at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. After teaching for a number of years while she and Dick were raising their two sons, Bonnie earned her certification in Special Ed. She then taught in the Winton Woods school district for some 15 years until she retired in 2005.
Bonnie was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Hamilton. She was known as a strong and private woman who was genuinely sweet and caring. Bonnie never complained, even when she had a right to. She would go out of her way to get along with everyone and was well liked by those who knew her. For these and other qualities Bonnie will be lovingly missed. She is survived by her husband, Dick; her sons, Shawn and Christopher Giliberto; grandchildren, Damion Giliberto and Emily Graber; sister-in-law, Marilyn Holland; and cousin, Merit Blythe. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John C. Holland.
A Gathering for Family and Friends will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, OH. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 am with Pastor Jacob Flannery officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013.
