JONES, Burnice Age 83 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday May 1, 2013 in her home. She was born August 6, 1929 in Huntsville, Tennessee the daughter of the late L. C. and Bertha (Coffey) Phillips. On September 4, 1946 in Rossville, Georgia she married Bert H. Jones who preceded her in death on February 2, 2013. Mrs. Jones was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Steve Jones of Fairfield; three daughters Sharyn (Paul) Sprague of Hamilton, Joy Halcomb of Somerset, Kentucky, and Tari (Ron) Smith of Eaton, Ohio; eight grandchildren Susanne (Brian) Russell, Kenneth (Patty) Cash, Donald (Angela) Cash, Melissa Halcomb, Shelley (Alvin) Brock, Derrick Halcomb, Heather (Greg) Richmond, and Josh Jones; six great grandchildren Collin, Sibella, Andrew, Dylan, Jacob, and Carter; four brothers Defoe Phillips of West Chester, Ervin, Denzil, and Dana Phillips, all of Huntsville, Tennessee, and four sisters Diane Newport of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Cara Sue Thompson of Huntsville, Tennessee, Edith Rector of Abington, Virginia, and Myrtle Kennedy of Huntsville, Tennessee. Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by her son Gary Jones and three brothers L. C. Phillips, Jr., Austin Phillips, and Howell Phillips. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
