David Michael Allen 89, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026. David was born, October 3, 1936 in Hamilton to the late Roy and Viola (Massey) Allen. Also preceding him in death are his beloved wife of 31 years Barbara Jean (Harrison) in 1991, siblings John Allen, Ed Allen, Rosie , Bill Allen, Pauline , Jim Allen and Frank Allen.
David will be greatly missed by his brothers, Bradley David (Gina) Allen, Douglas Michael (Renee) Allen; grandson Cory Allen, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, good friend John Burcaw and many other friends.
David was a graduate of Hamilton High School class of 1955, he earned a football scholarship to the University of Kentucky. He later served in the US Army and was a journeyman electrician for the City of Hamilton retiring after 30+ years of dedicated service.
David’s family will receive friends at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Wednesday, February 4 starting at 1:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mike Allen presiding. David will be laid to rest next to his beloved Barbara in Rose Hill Burial Park.
