Donald W. Powell, age 53, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on May 16, 2014. He was born to Donald and Freida Powell on June 29, 1960 in Maywood, CA. Don graduated from Taft High School in 1978 and served in the United States Army for four years. He retired from the City of Hamilton after 26 years of service. He loved being surrounded by his family, especially his three grandchildren Lucas, Anna, and Peyton. Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Jill, of 16 years; two step-children David (Brandi) Shoemaker and Christina Logsdon; grandchildren; mother; brothers Ronald Powell, Warren (Jo Ellen) Barnes and many other family and friends.
