Donald R. Sawyer, age 77 of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1937 in Hamilton, the son of the late Reuben and Grace (Winkler) Sawyer. Donald was a graduate of Hamilton High School and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Hamilton. While still living in Hamilton, he worked at Albers, then moved onto District Manager at Safeway Supermarkets in CA. Donald is survived by his sister, Gladys Smith; nieces and nephews, Mark, Jeff, Dianna, Miriam, Bonnie and Tommy; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marilyn Blaechle. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Pastor Mark McVey officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1pm until 2pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 11am on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Rose Hill Burial Park.
