

Eldon Eugene Houston, age 69 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in New Kensington, PA on April 10, 1945, the son of Raymond F. and Edna (Salvadori) Houston. On February 18, 1975 in Liberty, IN, Eldon married his wife of over 39 years, Shirley (Graffe) Houston. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was employed at Champion and Smart Papers for 39 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Auburn. Eldon is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Melissa (Eugene) Joering, Tammy (Mike) Brown and Jimmy Ray (Melissa) Houston; grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Austin, Brittany, Ricky, Hannah, Lexi and Julia; siblings, Elaine Heitfield, Tim (Brenda) Houston and Martha (Tim) Wisecup; sister-in-law, Sandy Houston; and loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James and Robert Houston. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Pastor Keith Young officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
