

Freda M. Derickson passed away on March 31, 2026. Freda was born in Eaton, Ohio on April 13, 1927, to Waldo and Anna (Alston) Stumpf. She was married to Gus Kiniyalocts from 1967 until his death in 2003. At 76 years young, she met and married Eugene “Gene” Derickson who preceded her in death on May 10, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Steve) Alexander; granddaughter, Suzanne (Alexander) Dulaney; stepchildren, James L. (Char) Derickson, Karen (Jack) Fetter, Jack (Charlene) Kiniyalocts, George (Brenda) Kiniyalocts, and Tom Kiniyalocts; and 13 step-grandchildren that she held dear to her heart. Her cousins also meant so much to her, as did so many extended family members from her marriages. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice (Stumpf); and stepchildren, Cheryl Kiniyalocts and Mike Kiniyalocts. Freda was an active member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Middletown for over 50 years and appreciated decades of love and support from her church family. Her hospitality and baking skills were well-known by those who knew her. Her pies were the stuff of legends. She was an avid card player. Her card-playing friends were a joy to her. She enjoyed many years of square dancing. She was happiest when she was able to do things for others. She was a 10+gallon blood donor, a reliable volunteer at church, and loved generously. Her neighbors at Berkley Square added companionship that she valued dearly. A Visitation will be held from 4pm until 6pm on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sedgwick officiating. Interment will follow in Darrtown Cemetery.
