MATTHEWS, Glen A. Age 84, Berkeley Square, Hamilton, Ohio formerly of Cincinnati, died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Beloved husband for 64 years of Hazel Rice Matthews. Beloved father of G. Alan, Victor D. and Lori F. Schalk; grandfather of Melissa Burke, Kandis Sullivan, Jason, G. Anthony, Philip, Kelly Riff and Matthew Schalk and dear great grandfather of many. Glen retired from the Cincinnati Fire Department in 1982 after 29 years. He served as pastor of a church in Tennessee for eleven years, Sunday School teacher for many years - the last one being at Millville Avenue Church of God, Hamilton. He was the volunteer chaplain at Berkeley Square for eleven years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the local Salvation Army or Millville Avenue Church of God, 1369 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
