Grace R. Ciavarella, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Berkeley Square Retirement Center on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. She was born in San Marco In Lamis, Italy on April 2, 1922 to Antonio and Archangela (Contessa) Battista. She was joined in marriage on April 12, 1947 to Emanuele Ciavarella in Akron, Ohio.

She loved to cook for her family and whenever you would visit, she made sure you always had something to eat especially her homemade pizza and bread. She also crocheted numerous afghans for many people.

She is survived by her children Anthony (Mary) Ciavarella, Emanuele (Teresa) Ciavarella, Richard Ciavarella and MaryAnn (Steven) Williams; grandchildren Gina (Brian) Bell, Daniel (Jess) Ciavarella, Jessica (Jasen) Hansen, Carrie (Kevin) Patton, Mark (Bevin) Ciavarella, Rachel (Brian) Woods and Valerie (Brett) Doudican; great grandchildren Ansley, Emmie, Ashton, Megan, Brandon, Nathan, Rylan, Katie, Alex, Lucas, Parker,Wyatt, Ethan, Aubrey and Nora; two brothers Pete (Tobi) Battista, Matthew (Gerry) Battista and sister Mary Maneval; brother-in-law Tony Ciavarella, sisters-in-law Babe LoCascio, Caroline Dalton and Gloria Ciavarella; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters in law Angelo (Nancy) Ciavarella, Nick Ciavarella, Phil LoCascio and Jerry Dalton.
