Harold James Haste, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. Harold was born on June 2, 1947 in Science Hill, KY, the son of James and Hazel (Asher) Haste. On October 21, 2006 in Gatlinburg, TN, he married his wife, Shelley (Loos) Haste. Harold was a Meat Manager for over 40 years, most recently at Kroger. He was a longtime member of several Trapshooting Clubs, including Fairfield Sportsmen Club, Okeana Sportsmen Club, Middletown Sportsmen Club and Eastern Hills Sportsmen Club. Harold is survived by his wife, Shelley Haste; mother, Hazel Passmore and her longtime companion, Roger Biehl; sons, Steven (Lea Ann) Haste and Brian Haste; step-children, Andrew Umphrey (fiancé, Chelsea Darlington) and Ashleigh (David) Stitt; grandchildren, Heather, Hannah, Mishani, Jordan, Joseph, Cassie and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Brooklyn, Amaya, Drake and Javie; and dear friends, Jeff and Tina Knobeloch. He was preceded in death by his father, James Haste. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 1:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
