James Michael Benge, 68, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Hamilton on July 18, 1955, the son of the late James F. and Marine (Riley) Benge. After graduating from Taft High School, class of 1973, James worked at Champion Paper Co., then later as a truck driver and more recently as a school bus driver for special needs students at Talawanda. He enjoyed raising beef cattle, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Fishing was James' favorite pastime, and he shared this love with his children. James is survived by his wife of 41 years, Margie (Rotte) Benge; three children, Christina (JC) Jordan, Bryan (Samantha) Benge, and Jennifer (Matthew) Myers; three grandchildren, Alora and Leo Jordan and Madilynn Benge, and his grand-dog Panda Myers. James was an avid dog lover and was especially fond of his two chihuahuas, Sugar Baby and Ginger. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 10am to 12pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12pm with Pastor Roger Shaw officiating. James will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family suggest contributions be made in his memory to the Animal Adoption Foundation, 2480 Ross Millville Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
