Janet Pearl Mello

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Janet P. Mello of Cincinnati, Ohio who entered eternal rest on Monday, February 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Janet is survived by her beloved husband Joseph “Wayne” Mello of 51 years; her four beautiful daughters, Erica Mello, Ashley (Tim) St. Hilaire, Heather (Matt) Roenker, Rachel (Doug) Beyer; her 7 cherished grandchildren; surviving brother, Allen Richard McGuire and, her precious kitties, Hansel and Gretel. She will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.

Janet loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling across the country and parts of the world. She also enjoyed doing multiple projects such as scrapbooking and sewing. Janet was a strong woman and overcame many medical obstacles. She survived open heart surgery at the age of 16 when the procedure was new in the 1960’s. She never gave up and always surprised us and her doctors.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 to share memories and find solace in one another’s company. The Visitation will begin at 10:00am, the Funeral service will follow at 11:00am and the Graveside service will commence at 12:00pm.
