

Jean Evelyn Brinsmaid (nee Holubovsky), aged 93, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in Plano, Texas. She was born on November 19, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of the late Jeanette (nee Triner) and Irvin Holubovsky. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Brinsmaid, and her grandson, Alex Kelly.
Jean graduated from Berwyn High School and embarked on a fulfilling career as a secretary at Quaker Oats Company, where she met her future husband, Bob. She had a deep connection with her community and was an active member of the Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Over the years, she dedicated her time to the church's knitting ministry and various bible study classes.
An accomplished watercolor artist, Jean was a proud member of the Cincinnati Brushettes. Her artistic flair was evident in her paintings that captures the essence of her surroundings. Jean's zest for life extended to sports, where she was an avid golfer and played at Kenwood Country Club and Pine Lake Country Club in her younger years. She also enjoyed bowling and was active in her league until the age of 87. Her adventurous spirit led her to learn sailing, enjoying many serene days on the lake with Bob on their Hobie Cat.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Kelly, and son, Craig Brinsmaid. She was a devoted grandmother to JT Kelly (Christine), Cole Kelly (Erin), and a great-grandmother to Callan Kelly.
Jean's family will receive friends at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 1180 Mason Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45429, Friday, April 10, 2026 starting at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of Jean's life that reflects her enduring spirit and love for her family and friends at 11:00 am with Pastor Linda McClanahan presiding. Her legacy of kindness, artistic talent, and community service will be remembered by all who knew her. Following services, Jean will be laid to rest next to her beloved Bob in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati.
