Our Dear Mother Jean Bryant went to be with the Lord and reunite with her beloved husband Jesse Bryant on June 24, 2014. She left peacefully with her family at her side at The Hospice of Hamilton.

Jean "Don't call me Velma" Bryant was born February 15, 1929 in Hazard, Kentucky to William K. Combs and Nannie F. Rison. She married Jesse Bryant on May 17, 1947 and shared 61 wonderful years together until his death. She was a devoted member of The Winton Road First Church of God in Fairfield, Ohio.

She was a member of the church choir and loved to join her voice with the choir in singing praises to the Lord. She was a member of The High Twelve Club and The Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her church and family. Her family meant everything to her and she was very invested in their happiness. She was adored by her many friends and she enjoyed family outings and church trips.

She is preceded in death by Her husband Jesse Bryant Jr., her son in law Wayne Rommel, her brothers Billie Combs, Samuel Clay Combs, James Edward Combs and Johnie Verl Combs, her sisters Annalee Combs, Rachel Margaret Calchera, Edna Heinbaugh, her sisters in law Mary Lynn Combs, Ruby McLauren, Opal Begley, Aileen Pigman and Wanda Benton, her brothers in law Truman Bryant, John Heinbaugh Sr., Bobby Watts Sr., Edgar Pigman, Thomas McLauren, Sherman McIntosh, Larry Spaulding, Leon Calchera and Adam Gawlick.

She leaves behind many good friends and a loving and grateful family; Devoted Companion Clarence Turner; Sons Ronnie Verl Bryant (Paula) and James William Bryant; Daughters Brenda Marlene Rommel and Carolyn Jean Taylor (David); Grand Children Stephen Wayne Rommel, Mischelle Rommel Reynolds (Billy), Dustin Paul Bryant (Alyson), Krista Rommel Cox (Nick), Jessica M. Bryant (Dan),Troy Dillon Bryant (Danielle), Jesse Leigh Bryant (Silvia), Catherine Burke (Kevin), Owen Patrick Taylor and Betty Jean Taylor; Sisters Betty McIntosh and Hazel Spaulding; a brother Marcus Darrell Combs (Alice); Brother in Law Donnie Bryant (Reva),Gilbert Benton; Sisters in Law Alma Combs (Marshall),Vivian Bryant, Louise Baker (Bill), Betty Gabbard (Jim), Leona Watts and 14 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She will truly be missed.
