Mary M. Buhi

Mary M. Buhi, age 98, of Hamilton, died on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on March 26, 1913, in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Christian and Bertha (Boger) Eichel. In Hamilton, on June 22, 1937, Mary married her husband of over 48 years, Howard N. Buhi, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1985. She was a cook at Miami University Dining Room for 17 years; a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary Post 1069 in Fairfield. Mary is survived by two sons, William (Donna) Buhi and Jack (Linda) Buhi; four grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Walker, Ethan (Nicole) Buhi, Christopher Buhi and Eric (Lori) Buhi; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Luke, Sarah and Elena; and two step-great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Christopher. Mary was also preceded in death by four brothers, Daniel, David, Robert and William Eichel; and three sisters, Elsie Ulreich, Ruth Payne and Louise Steele. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, at 12noon on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Interment will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Family and friends will be received prior to the service on Wednesday from 10am-12noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013. The family expresses a special thank you to all of the friends and caregivers who assisted in Mary’s time of need.
