Robert J. Sexton

Robert J. Sexton, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born on August 17, 1933 in Hamilton, the son of the late Thomas and Myrtle (Gadd) Sexton. On November 30, 1956 in Hamilton, Robert married his wife of over 58 years, Barbara J. (Stamper) Sexton. He served in the U.S. Army, worked at Mosler Safe Company for 30 years and attended Fairfield Wesleyan Church. Robert is survived by his faithful and beloved wife, Barbara J. Sexton; daughter, Deborah Alcorn; granddaughter, Michelle Nelson; three great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandsons; brothers, Ralph Sexton and Bud Wayne (Lois) Sexton; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Rosemary Westerfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson; and brothers, Thomas Sexton, Jr. and William Sexton. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Pastor Billy R. Bruns and Pastor Stanley Booher officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12pm until 1pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
