Thomas Arthur Sanders passed away on April 25, 2014 following a long illness. Tom was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 11, 1940. Tom graduated from Purcell Marian High School in 1957 and joined the U.S. Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. It was while in the army that he met his wife, Brenda Sanders. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage and raised three children together, eventually settling down in West Chester, Ohio. Tom enjoyed a long career in the metallurgical testing and design field. Tom had an iconic sense of humor and a wonderful ability to always see the positive side of things. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and reading, and was a great backyard naturalist. Tom is survived by his son, William Sanders of Cincinnati, and daughters Suzanne Sanders, of Duluth, Minnesota, and Samantha Sanders, also of Cincinnati. He is also survived by his three sisters, Janet Carpenter of Villa Hills, Kentucky, Rita Diss of Cincinnati, and Martha Happel, of St. Louis, Missouri. Tom will be deeply missed.
