Wayne Cyril Brown 
March 28, 1941 – August 25, 2025 
 
Wayne Cyril Brown, age 84, was called home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2025, at 5:31 AM. Born in Southern California on March 28, 1941, Wayne lived a life full of faith, love, integrity, and service to Jesus.
 
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice, in 2019, and his son, Nathan, in 2020. Together, Wayne and Janice shared 47 years of marriage, with a loving commitment that spanned over five decades. He was father to 7 children—Michelle, Suzie, Randy, LeeAnn, Nathan, Joanna, and Rachel. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren, all of whom deeply loved and respected him. Wayne’s brothers, David and Allen, were a cherished part of his life, with David preceding him in death in 2013.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Cyril Brown. 
 
Wayne’s professional career as a truck driver and supervisor was marked by dedication and hard work, but his true passion lay in his faith and service to others. He spent four years as a missionary and dentist in Guatemala in his 20’s.  For several decades, Wayne led Bible study and Sunday school classes, sharing his knowledge of the Scriptures and his love for God with generations of believers. Hundreds of people know Jesus because of Wayne’s dedication to spreading the gospel.   
 
His love for the Lord was evident in everything he did. Whether through singing gospel songs, teaching Bible study, witnessing to others, or studying scripture: Wayne’s life was a testament to his passion for the Gospel. He enjoyed tennis, golf, riding Harley motorcycles, dirt biking, woodworking, studying history, and reading, all of which brought him joy throughout his life. Wayne was also a lifelong learner, taking college courses well into his later years. 
 
Wayne’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, compassion, and a tireless commitment to growing the kingdom of God. H

In honor of my dad, Wayne Cyril Brown,  I want to express my gratefulness for his life.  Although life's experiences took him away from me for most of my life, I am so grateful that he was an honorable man who devoted himself to the family he raised with love and commitment.   I am grateful for the times, throughout the years, that I was able to spend time with him;  for the love he showed me in those times, and that I could see how sincerely happy he was to spend that time with me.  Enjoy the next part of your journey,  Dad!  I look forward to meeting up with you again one day.  My love goes with you!!
