Dear father of Riley Winwood, who he cherished deeply and loved spending time with. Son of Marilyn and the late Ken Winwood (2025). Brother of Lynda Burnett (Ron). Uncle of Darren (Chantal) Burnett. Nephew of Glenn Winwood and Ron Etherington. Survived by his many cousins.
Alan was an employee for D.L. Solutions for over 20 years, acting as a crew foreman. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Green Bay Packers. Alan loved to go to the family trailer, go camping and fishing. He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humour and his big heart towards those less fortunate. Alan will be truly missed by all of those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. As per Alan's wishes, there will be no funeral services. In the spring, Alan will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Stoney Creek. If so desired, memorial donations to Autism Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
