

TRINK, Albert March 21, 1929 - April 10, 2012 Peacefully, surrounded by his adoring family, (especially missed by his wife Elsa), Albert passed away, in his 84th year, from his short but courageous fight against lung cancer, at St. Joseph's Hospital and later the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton. Born in Holland, Albert spent his youth in Belgium. He met Elsa in Austria and together with their two eldest sons came to Montreal, Canada. In 1978, together with their seven children, they moved from Greenfield Park, PQ to settle in Hamilton, ON. He retired from working at Eaton's for over 33 years and was the inspiration for Sauble Beach Family Cottages. Dear father of the late Albert Jr., Ben (Delyse), Peter, Mike (Susan), Karin (Robert Aitken), Tammy, and Heidi (Cary Vervaeke). Beloved Opa of Jonathan (Julie), Stephen (April), Michael (Laura), David, Alex, Jackie, Stephanie, Caroline, Melanie, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Justine, Kyle and Sara and beloved Great-Opa of Malakai, Abigail, Emma, Lucas and Isabella. Fondly remembered by the Schipprack, Bouchard, Rodriques, Vervaeke Families, Bruni Cawi, Donna Thiessen, Irene Aitken and families in Europe. Sadly missed by cottagers in Sauble Beach and Snowbirds in St. Petersburg, FLA. "Opa Trink" is forever cherished for his love of family, resourcefulness and many talents. Special thanks to the medical teams at St. Joseph's Hospital and Juravinski Cancer Centre who helped make him more comfortable. Friends may call at the CRESMOUNT UPPER JAMES CHAPEL, 1020 Upper James Street on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations of your choice may be made in memory of Opa's courageous fight against cancer.
