Alberto Marchionda

Alberto was a man of deep loyalty, love, and compassion, always putting his family and friends above all. Alberto is survived by his beloved wife Giuseppina, son Tony (Michele), daughters Paola (Jimmy) and Teresa (Roberto), and his cherished grandchildren Nathan, Christina, Melanie, Peter, Michael, Maria, and Vince. He was also the proud great-grandfather to Xavier, Mika, Bella, Athena and Gabriela.

Born in the small town of Pacentro, Italy, Alberto was the cherished brother of the late Agatha (late Attilio) Gentile, the late Vera (late Gaetano) Garafalo, the late Salvatore (late Giovanna) Marchionda, the late Guido (late Philaberta) Marchionda, the late Eliza, and the late Nicola Ciccarelli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who held him dear. At the age of 28, Alberto met the love of his life, Giuseppina. He first traveled to Canada in search of work, and shortly thereafter, Giuseppina joined him. Together, they began a lifelong journey, building a family and a legacy that will endure for generations. Alberto was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always there for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed but forever held in our hearts.

Visitation will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue E., Hamilton, Ontario on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM, followed by Entombment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, 681 Mud Street E.
