Ana Jagusic

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Josip (2007). Devoted mother of John (Shannon), Mary (Tony) Hlacar and Darlene (Phil) Costantini. Proud and loving Baba to Holly (Josh), Karley, Peyton and Jordan, and special and caring presence to John Paul and Laura.

Ana was the much-loved sister of Josip (Kata) Bacic and a dear sister-in-law of Nevenka (Mirko) Protulipac, Slavo (Ljubica) Jagusic, Danica (Ivan) Cvitak, Ljubica (John) Zefkic and Barbara Jagusic. She was predeceased by her parents Josip and Ana Bacic; her sister Barbara (Pero) Brinjak; brothers-in-law Drago Jagusic, Mike Jagusic and sisters-in-law Kata (Toma) Bersinic, Barka (Ivan) Baric, Andelka (Ivan) Jefak, Maca (Ludvig) Zvonar. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, in Canada and Croatia.

Ana’s warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Family was everything to her. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will live on in our hearts. As we gather to celebrate her life, may we hold dear the moments we shared and find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband and all the family who went before her. Her legacy of love, compassion, selflessness and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Schwietzer and his dedicated team, all the PSWs from Bayshore, Home Instead and Eveann Services, palliative nurses Anne and Rachael, and to Melanie and Maria for their exceptional care and support over the last two years.

We take comfort in knowing that our mom is now at peace. She will be forever missed and always remembered.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, May 8, from 4-8 pm with Prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Friday, May 9, at 10 am. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
