Anatoliy Shnulin

Loving husband to Lyudmila for 65 years. Adored father to Dmitry Shnulin (Violetta) and Lyubov "Luba" Aghayeva (Alexei). Cherished grandpa to Alyona (Drew) and Emil. Great-grandfather to little Arthur. Anatoliy was born on November 10, 1936 in Baku, Azerbaijan, USSR to parents Nikolai and Anastasia Shnulin. In his younger years Anatoliy competed as an athlete in Track and Field. He held an an 18X record breaker in USSR as well as a Bronze Medal Winner in European Jr. Championships 1954 in 110 meters hurdles.

He attended the Baku State University and obtained his PhD in Mathematical Physics Studies. Throughout his career Anatoliy worked as a researcher in the Crystallography field and was nominated in 2000 for the 2000 Scientist Award of Outstanding Scientists in the 20th Century. He will be lovingly remembered as a physics, math & chemistry tutor in Hamilton Schools. We will remember his sense of humour, loyalty and the never ending devotion he had for his family. Special thanks to the staff at The Willowgrove for their kind care and compassion throughout the years Anatoliy spent in the home.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11am. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road E.
