Anna Misinski

Predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Jozef (2004). Loving mother of Kazimierz (Anna-Marie – predeceased), Gregory (Krystyna), and Jadwiga (Jo-Ann) and husband Dan Sykula. Devoted Babcia of Andrew, Mark, Eva, Jonas (Caroline), Jessica (Jason) and Eric. Cherished ‘Big Babcia’ to Gavin and Mila. Anna is survived and fondly remembered by her sister Veronika Zybura (Karol – predeceased). She will be fondly remembered with great love and treasured memories by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Anna immigrated in 1965 from Poland to Canada with her husband and three children to pursue better opportunities for her family and to be with her sister.

Her life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her Catholic faith. She was the matriarch of the family who loved nothing better than bringing everyone together to enjoy her home-cooked meals, always making sure no one left her house hungry. In her later years, you would often find her tending to her garden watching her garlic and produce grow.

Visitation will be at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Monday June 29 from 5-9 p.m. with Rosary at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 8 Saint Ann Street Hamilton on Tuesday June 30 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a food bank or charity of your choice.
