Anne C. Slade

For the past two years, Anne resided at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas, where she received the devoted love and care of the staff on the Beech Avenue Unit. For this, we are eternally grateful.

Anne’s loves included spoiling her pets who were great company for her over the years, working in her gardens where she “frustrated” her plants and flowers endlessly, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She would knit and deliver tiny hats and mitts to the preemie babies at McMaster Hospital. She took great delight in feeding and watching the chipmunks, squirrels and many birds that visited her backyard.

More than anything though, Anne loved and cherished her children. She overcame many obstacles in her 100 years, but, always with kindness, hard work, determination, humour and deep faith.

We will miss her terribly and hold cherished memories close to our hearts. Godspeed Mom, until we meet again.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
