Peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa on May6th, 2012 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Rose. Loving father of Wayne (Marie) and Wendell (Liz). Grandfather of Vanessa, Rebekah, Matthew (Lisa) and Sarah and great grandfather of Michael and Donavan. Predeceased by his brothers, George, Michael, Joseph and Raymond. Bernie was a proud WWII Veteran, Princess Patricia, Light Infantry serving in Europe, North Africa and Italy. He retired from Stelco after 37 years of service.
His family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Wednesday from 9am until time of service at 11am in the chapel. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
