Born April 20, 1922
Peacefully at Macassa Lodge on February 25, 2012 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank (1998). Dear mother of Mike (predeceased 2009) (Wendy), Bill (Edwina) living in Hawaii, Paul (Shauna), Cindy (Doug Fenske). Loving grandmother to Michael (Aimee), Tara (Kevin Cleminson), Ikaika (J'Tem), Kawaika, Alika and Pono in Hawaii, Jade Bamford and Montana Stricker; and Kyle Fenske. Great grandmother to great granddaughters: Michaela; Sidney and Lilly in Hawaii. Yvonne was born in Atholville, N.B. to Alma and Willie LeBlanc (both prededeased in 1981) and was the eldest in a family of 13; 7 sisters: Stella, Rollie, Donna, Jackie, Clarice, Adrienne and Denise; 5 brothers: Armand, Ivan, Adrien and Rod, baby Joseph (all brothers predeceased). Survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Yvonne was an active member of the Catholic Womens League for 60 years as well as a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a top representative for Avon for 13 years (1967-1980). Everyone enjoyed her cooking: she liked Bingo, word find puzzels, playing cards, bowling, her piano, her trailer in Sauble Beach (1983-1996), volunteering and visiting the sick, and a trip to the casino to try her luck. Entertaining at her home was something she always looked forward to hosting. She visited Hawaii 6 times to see her son and his family, as well as other trips to the US and throughout Canada. Yvonne enjoyed a long and heathly life - her energy and zest for life right up to the age of 85 was an inspiration to many. Friends and Family may visit at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Mass to be held at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (20 Idlewood Ave. Hamilton) on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster.
