Brenda Gail Methot

With her loving family by her side, it is with great sadness that we announce Brenda’s passing on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the fine age of 73. Beloved wife and best friend of Gilbert for 54 wonderful years.

Cherished mother of Kim Maccallini (Sergio), Keri Berlingieri (Eugene), Jeff Methot (Carrie), and Ryan Methot (Sandy Pereira). Loving Nana to Marcus, Jordan, Nicholas, Christopher, Daniel, Natasha, Nolan, Sophia, and Francesco. Predeceased by her parents Ray Archibald and Rita Pella (the late Leno). Survived by her siblings Linda Chepyha (Rick), Jim Archibald (Marilyn), and Judy McKenzie (Phil). Brenda will be dearly missed by her many brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Brenda was the matriarch of her entire family, always bringing everybody together. She always put everyone else’s needs above her own. Brenda enjoyed gardening and won many Trillium Awards, baking cakes, sewing, crafts, taking many trips over the years and hosting the yearly family picnics. She also volunteered for many years with the Rosedale Minor Hockey Association. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team on the 4th floor and ICU at the Juravinski Hospital who took great care of Brenda and her family through this difficult time.

As per Brenda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at St. Nicholas Banquet Hall, 260 Melvin Avenue, Hamilton, where their love began, on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda’s name to City Kidz or the Ronald McDonald House, where she donated yearly.
