It is with great despair that we wish to announce the passing on of Brian W. Morton, following a sudden, but severe illness, on the evening of Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton. His passing was peaceful and painless thanks to the phenomenal care received from the I.C.U. department there. Brian, in his 66th year, was a source of joy and laughter to all who knew him due to his witty and colourful humour. A talented and honest mechanic, he spent his "glory days" on a motorcycle in Southern California, and more recently he drove a wheelchair accessible van for Blueline Taxi. He was an adventurous spirit with a huge heart. He will be very sadly missed by his children Melinda and William Morton, who he was an amazing and supportive father to. He will be mourned by many, including his best friend for fifty plus years, Robert Vasil and by the mother of his children, Rebecca P. Morton. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford) on Monday from 11 a.m - 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 19 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital I.C.U. department. Online tributes may be made at www.marlattfhhamilton.com
