Brian John Peter Shadney

Brian was a kind, smart, loving and giving man with a fabulous sense of humour.Pre-deceased by his parents Archie John and Mildred Jean Shadney. Brother to Peter Shadney and Gloria Jolink (Mike). A Caring uncle who always shared his words of wisdom with, Taylor Shadney (Bethany), Jessica and Nicole Jolink and great uncle to Zoe Shadney. Cousins to April Klein (Mark), Carol-Ann Cohen, Don Goodridge (Theresa), Mike Goodridge (Cyndee) and many other cousins. A special thank you to all of Brian’s friends for all the help and support you gave him and our family.

Brian grew up in Hamilton and also lived in Toronto and Korea. But Hamilton was his home; as are his beloved Tiger-Cats. He was an avid reader of many novels. Brian received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo and Bachelor of Education from Ontario Teachers College. He was involved in many family businesses and eventually retired working from Fortinos Bakery which he enjoyed very much. A special thank you to the Doctors & Nurses at Juravinski Hospital and the VON Health Care team for their kind care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place as per Brian’s wishes. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 1-5pm at the Social Room, 500 Green Road, Stoney Creek (The Shoreliner).
