Often described as a man of few words, if you were lucky enough to have a conversation with Bruce, you’d know he lived a storied life. Joining the military at 16, Bruce was a career solider dedicated to his country. His service took him across Canada and Europe, during which time he acquired his infamous ‘Mother’ tattoo, a lifelong love for motorcycles, and at least two wives.
Even as he got older, Bruce never lost his spark. Continuing to go on motorcycle trips across North America well into his 70’s, Bruce always came home with a story, be it the tooth he lost on the road in Alberta, or his roadside camping adventures in Alaska. He approached being a grandfather with the same zeal. If it involved one of his Grandchildren or Great Grandchildren, Bruce was there, proudly looking on as our most fervent supporter. Even when we were in the wrong, we were always right to Grandpa.
The loss of Bruce leaves a hole in his family that will never be filled. We are grateful for the time we had with him, and in his passing are comforted by the memories of a dedicated and loving Grandfather.
Bruce is survived by his sister Linda, his children Michael (Cindy), Kathy (Don), Patricia, and his many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
