Christina Les

Surrounded by her family, Christina Les, in her 102nd year, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 59 years, Peter Les, son-in-law Stuart Gunn, sister Katie Glassco, nephew Joe Glassco (Margaret) and niece Kay Glassco.

Treasured mother to Patricia Gunn and Terri Les (Brian Costello). Cherished grandmother to Geoffrey Gunn (Christine Gunn) and Michael Gunn (Bailey Vandebeek). Beloved great grandmother to Carter, Mason, Hendrix and Remy. Special aunt to Jane Hills, Cathy Roberto, Nancy Donahue, Mary Jo Sinclair, Kathy Thomas and Mark Les and their families.

Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East Hamilton, ON, on Thursday June 18, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road, Hamilton, ON, on Friday June 19, at 11am followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Christina touched many with her bright and engaging smile, wry humour, kindness, curiosity and engaging personality. Her passion for life was expressed in her love of family and home, her enthusiastic bridge playing and her deep appreciation for the music of the Croatian National Home, of which she was a member for 75 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or the Royal Botanical Gardens of Hamilton are appreciated.
