Peacefully after a brief illness on June 30, 2014 at Emmanuel House. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Legg) for 35 years. Cherished father of Daniel (Nancy) and David (Terra). Dear grandfather of Antonio, Leo and Ana Giselle. Remembered by sisters Dawna and Diane (Ed). Predeceased by sister Binnie. Special thanks to Emmanuel house for their compassionate care. Also to Dr. Grieci, nurse Jane, doctors and staff at Juravinski Hospital, CCAC and the VON. Dan was a well respected educator with the Hamilton School Board for 32 years and volunteered at Neighbour to Neighbour. He was a proud member of Hamilton Olde Sports Baseball. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Wednesday, July 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, July 3rd from 2-3 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at 3 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
