Darko Cvitkovic

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darko Cvitkovic on Tuesday March 15th, 2022 at the age of 69. Born February 28th, 1953 in Karlovac, Croatia. Predeceased by his mother and father Katica and Ivan Cvitkovic. Beloved husband to Barbara for 46 years. Darko was a loving father to his predeceased sons Eric and Allen. Deda to his grandchildren Cruz and Emie. Greatly missed by his daughter-in-law Jordanna (Cole). Cherished brother-in-law to Mary and Joe Palisak. Loved uncle to Aileen Palisak and her daughter Ava, Leonard (Sue) Palisak and their children Maks and Melania. Brother to Vlado Bilicic (Nives) in Croatia and cousins to Cathy (Mike) Bujan. He will be greatly missed by all of his extended family, friends and co-workers at Dofasco.

Darko was a kind, gentle, loving and funny man who always put his family above everything else. He is now reunited with his sons Eric and Allen who have been in his heart every minute of every day. They will watch over us with love and comfort – until we meet again.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday March 21 from 4-8 p.m. with Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations to Holy Cross Church.
